Wicklow Cheviot Sheep
The Wicklow Cheviot Sheep Breeders Society
The Wicklow Cheviot Sheep Breeders Society has three main objectives:
-
To encourage the breeding and conservation of Wicklow Mountain Sheep and to maintain the sheep as a pure breed
-
To increase the prolificacy and quality of the breed
-
To arrange special sales of pure-bred sheep and promote the dissemination of information about the breed

In order to ensure the uniformity and quality of Wicklow Cheviot Sheep are upheld, flock inspections are conducted by competent judges who are keen breeders . Members of the Wicklow Cheviot Sheep Breeders Society keep their sheep to the highest possible standard, only using registered pedigree Wicklow mountain rams for breeding.
The Society holds annual Sales of Purebred Registered Rams in October in Blessington, Co Wicklow where hundreds of Rams are exhibited and sold.
